One of 11 single fish of this style - some diving, some rising. Each original painting varies in colour or hue.
An original Gyotaku monoprint on handmade paper. Gyo = Fish, Taku = rubbing or impression in Japanese. Each piece is hand printed using acrylic paint and then the fins and eyes are hand painted using gouache. This paper has pieces of seaweed embedded in it. I give the colours of the paper food names hence the 'Salt' in the title. Each Gyotaku is a unique, original artwork.
