Morvran Koos Ethy - Cormorant, Ethy Woods (Original)
Two cormorant stretch and dry their wings on the branches of a fallen tree opposite Quay House in Ethy Woods, Lerryn. This painting forms part of a series of my works influenced by the Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock artist Hiroshige (1797 – 1858). The fading background (Bokashi) is airbrushed acrylic ink, the birds & foreground watercolour. The red cartouche has the title of the of the painting written in Cornish.
