Pendennis Castle, Tower & Flame Sky
The tallest tower would have given around vision across the Carrick Roads to the north, to Anthony Head to the east and to Nare & Manacle Points to the west.
I have taken a photograph, reduced the image to black and white and then printed it out onto cartridge paper. 2 stencils are cut; one in the shape of the building and one the shape of the background/sky. The building shaped stencil is placed over the building of digital print and the blue of the sky airbrushed on. The process is reversed for the colours on the building.
Although the process can be repeated, each piece is an original.
