St Mawes To Falmouth Amid Cherry Blossom (Original)
Viewed from the approach to St Mawes Castle along the River Fal, the Duchess Of Cornwall ferries passengers to and from Falmouth This painting forms part of a series of my works influenced by the Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock artist Hiroshige (1797 – 1858). The fading background and water(Bokashi) is airbrushed acrylic ink, the boat and the blossom, watercolour. The red cartouche have the title of the of the painting written in Cornish.
